At The Peaks Dental & Implant Centre, we are proud to offer a specialist Facial Pain Service provided by Professor St John Crean, a highly experienced Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Professor Crean leads the diagnosis and management of complex facial pain conditions, including trigeminal neuralgia, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, and chronic orofacial pain. His expertise is particularly valuable for patients who have experienced long-standing, unexplained, or difficult-to-diagnose facial pain, and who require a thorough, specialist-led approach to care.
Alongside his clinical practice, Professor Crean holds several senior academic and leadership roles, including Pro Vice-Chancellor for Clinical and Research at the University of Central Lancashire, Honorary Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon within the NHS, and Editor-in-Chief of the Faculty Dental Journal at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He also plays a leading role in advancing dental education, research, and clinical standards at a national and international level.
